Religious Activities

Mass: The school holds mass on Fridays in the St. Joseph Church and starts at 8:40 A.M.

Rosaries: The students and the teachers come together to pray the rosary once a month in the gymnasium.

Prayer Services: Special prayer services are held during the time of Advent and Lent.

Reconciliation: We have reconciliation services for the 3rd grade through 8th grade prior to Christmas and Easter. The 2nd grade students also have a reconciliation service prior to their first communion.

First Communion: The second grade students spend the year preparing for the sacrament of First Communion, which is held in May.

Kostka Club: The Kostka Club is open to students in grades 4 – 8, who are registered members of St. Joseph Parish. They serve Liturgies and help the church in various seasonal activities. The club meets at school during lunchtime.
Advisor: Mrs. Corrine Winterfeld and Father Kelly..

Peace Partner Program: One of the delights of the students from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade is having a yearlong friend called a Peace Partner. A very special bond develops between the older and the younger student.

There are special times when they are together, i.e. sit together in liturgies, special lunches, fun activities, work together on religious education projects, and celebrations. On special days, they exchange gifts or plan surprises for each other
